Creative Cafe of the Week! Mini Albums

For this week's creative cafe of the week, I made mini albums.  They were simple to create and can be done by anyone!

The materials I used: scalloped Bazzill paper, extra large Creative Cafe tags, and Creative Cafe buttons, ribbons & small felt words .  I used 2 extra large tags, but you can use as much as your ring can hold.  I thought this may be a good solution for my ABC book that I want to create.  My actual samples are in the creative cafe area!

Die cut of the week!

Hi --- For this week's die cut of the week, I made a shower invite for my friend who is getting married next year.  I used die D72.  You can use an simple sticker to close the invite shut.   You can cut 3 to 4 papers at a time!  Tina

Button Bracelet! Creative Cafe of the week...

As one of my previous post admitted that I love buttons.  Soooo, I thought this creative cafe project would be right up my alley.

I used the creative cafe bracelet (which comes in circles and square004_3s).  And, some may recognize the bracelet from our Lasting Memories birthday which we attached cute stickers.  Instead, I attached Creative Cafe buttons to the bracelet using glue dots and voila!!  I have a beautiful button bracelet!

It's a simple project that can be done with kids too!

Die cut of the week -- Wedding invites!

I will be introducing a die cut of the week to help you understand the benefits of the die cut center.  And maybe help you see shapes in a different light.

This week I used a bunch of different die cuts to create matching wedding invites, thank yous and favors!  The dies that I used:  D90 (Invitation Wrap), D91 (Invitation insert), E14 (paper strip), & D120 (Thank you).  The actual invite will shown in the die cut center for the week.  Come by and see my board!

Buttons!

Buttons!  I am addicted to buttons.  When I saw this in the July/August issue of Simple Scrapbooks - I had to scraplift it.  I made some adjustments to make it more me.  And the page was done!  I would like to admit that this is my first page that I did 007 in a hour or two.  I usually get scrapping block and come back to my page the next day.

Simple Scrapbooks this month also has great tips for easy travel albums & layouts for summer!

Hot cards for the summer!

Hi! The new July issue of Cards was released.  This issue has been going like hotcakes. The last time I looked there were only 5 left!  This is a great summer issue --- card ideas on summer and traveling.  I made some samples which were simple to create and used the new Doodlebug Glitter flower paper! The doodlebug paper seems to match perfectly with everything summer! After working on these cards.  I want to get one in every color.  And if you didn't see the display there are also matching ribbons!  Tina

I brought back Monday's sunny weather!

I am back from Hawaii.  The trip was great -- lots of sun, family and friends.  I was asked to bring back sun but all I brought back was the sun that you saw on Monday!  =)  All I know is that I need more Hawaii, pool and beach stickers!

This morning I noticed that Paper Craft's June/July issue had some great ideas for jump starting our summer.   I made two cards out of the magazine.  The red "Hi" card was really simple to make and can be made multiple times with the die cut -- tag slide.   The tag slide could also be used for an invite for a summer party.  The scallopped card was also cut with a die-cut!

We also updated our die cut catalog if you haven't noticed already.  Come by the store and let me show you which ones are new!!

Okay...I couldn't resist and share a picture of my son enjoying a pool in Hawaii.  It was his first time in water -- larger than the bathtub.  He had a ball! - Tina

Aloha from Hawaii!

_mg_9813_3 Hi!  I am posting from Hawaii!  I am not sure if you are ready to see what the weather has been like....but a picture says 1000 words!  We are enjoying the sun and hopefully we will bring the sun and the 80 degree weather back with us!

I am visiting Hawaii as my neice & nephew graduated from high school this weekend, so I made them a card.  I made the card using the graduation cap shape from the die cut center & attached a Jolee's Dimensional sticker to the front.   Super easy and quick!

Start of Summer!

June brings the start of summer -- BBQs, Father's Day, traveling and the list goes on!  Now if we could just have more SUN!!  With Father's Day (June 15th!) right around the corner, June's issue of Cards helps us with ideas. The four that I selected from the Cards book were all easy to follow and great to give to Dad! For the shapes, I used die cuts and Quickutz (the shirt & tie).  We have a great selection of "dad" papers to work with.

Next week I am off to Hawaii for my niece & nephew's graduation, I am in the process of making their cards which I used die-cuts & stickers!  I will post the picture of the cards & share a picture of Hawaii!

Make up your to do list!

Hi!  Hope everyone had a great memorial day weekend! Last week, I created more projects from the May/June issue of Scrapbook, Etc.  Both were easy to make!

The first one is a "To Do" board with the letters of the week.  It used a basic picture frame with paper scraps.  All you need is a dry erase pen and you can add your "to-do's" for the week.  At the end of the week, erase and start your week fresh!

The second project was made with doodlebug stickers.  You can use all those letters that you don't normally use like X , Z or the numbers.  It would make a great father's day gift by changing the mom to dad!

Be sure to pick up a copy if you haven't done so already!
