Mini-Album - "Spring"

IMG_3476 I'm one that really enjoys the seasons.  I don't like to rush through any of them, including winter.  Having said that, this weeks book is about Spring.  I know, I know, it's a little early but I couldn't resist Imaginisce Twitterpated Line any longer!  I just want to cuddle up all those adorable little animals on that paper!!

The pages are little sleeves that hold tags which are perfect for photos and/or journaling.  The embellishments are the coordinating chipboard stickers and brads.

I don't have pictures in this one yet but when spring comes, I'll be ready!  You should be too!

This class will be taught on February 25th.

The directions for this project can be found here.

Mini-Album - "Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall"

IMG_3465 If you're feeling the winter blues, here's a fun little project to pick you up!  These four little books are fridge magnets!  They're so cute and filled with pictures from each season.  This is a quick project which certainly doesn't have to be limited to seasons.

I used the Basic Grey's Urban Prairie 6 x 6 paper pack.  The smaller print in this 6 x 6 pad make them perfect for these little 3 x 3 albums.  You can cover the pages inside with paper or simply cover each page with a photo like I did.  Since these are small books, there wasn't much need for additional embellishment.  I add the words on the front, ribbon and a magnet on back.

This class will be taught on February 18th.

The directions for this project can be found here.

Mini-Album - "How Do I Love Thee?"

IMG_3446[1] So here it is, the last of the Valentine books. (Sniff, sniff.)  I decided to go with a bit of a vintage look for this little mini.  I like it!  The book is from our die cut center.  I've been wanting to use this one for a long time and I'm sure this won't be the last you see of it!

The paper is Making Memories Love Notes line.  I added a few more die cuts for embellishment and that irresistible pom pom ribbon!  There's plenty of room for photos and journaling inside.

This class will be taught February 11th.  Just in time!

Mini-Album - "True Love"

IMG_3384 True Love is what I'm feeling for the Crush line by Theresa Collins.  You can do so much with this paper.  It's double sided, there are tickets, words and shapes you can cut out and use as embellishments.  What's not to love, right?

I used our card portfolio from the die cut center as the "home" for a cute accordion style album.  The album tucks in one side leaving the other side to slip in some sweet little notes or more photos.

This class will be taught on February 4h.

The directions for this project can be found here.

Mini-Album - "Some BUNNY Loves You"

IMG_3371[1] I really love Valentines Day!  It's not the love, romance, candy and flowers but the PAPER!!!  I know I have a problem, but paper makes me happy!  I sigh at the thought of all the Valentine goodness you can make with just a little bit of paper.

So, here is the first of a few Valentine projects I'll be doing over the next couple of weeks.  This little 6 x6 book is made with cardstock and patterned paper.  The book opens up with flaps going left, right, top and bottom. We R Memory Keepers made theadorable paper that has (4) 6X6 squares on each sheet of paper.  I love it when companies do that. (It's such a great value!)  It's embellished with embossed stickers and adorable ribbon.  This is a fun book that I'm sure you'll find yourself making again with all of that paper stash you have!

This class will be taught on January 28th.

The directions for this project can be found here.

Mini-Album - "this is 2009"

IMG_3279 Every January I like to do a book that I can put some of my favorite photos from each month of the year.  When I develop pictures throughout the year, I pick some for that month and add them to the book as the year goes on.  It's much easier adding the pictures as you go rather than waiting until the end of the year (not to mention trying to remember what happened in what month).

For this book I used black chipboard, October Afternoon paper and a few punches.  There's lined paper inside for room to journal for each month.

I know you probably don't want to think about this yet but, wouldn't it be great to make up a few of these for Christmas gifts this year.  Just think, if you added pictures every month they would be done in December.  Just a thought!

This class will be taught January 21st.

Mini-Album - "Super Cute Clipboard"

Yes, this project started with a simple clipboard.  We added some cute patterned paper, then we added perpetual calendar pages designed right here at Lasting Memories.  Pretty cute huh!  This class will be taught Wednesday evening, January 14th.

Mini-Album - "Winter Memories"

The "Winter Memories" book in the previous post is actually being taught on January 7th!  That's right, after a couple weeks of Holidays and lots of snow, we will be back on our regular Wednesday night schedule.

I'm pretty sure you all have some snow photos by now so you won't want to miss this one.  I used the 4 x 6 tablet from Pebbles Inc. to make this book.  The tablet has all the paper and stickers you need.  I just added some chipboard for the pages and a little bit of ribbon.  I used the Bind It All to bind my book.  You could also use office rings.

Hope to see you all in class on Wednesday!
