Thickers.... yes again!

Yes... i know...I'm highlighting thickers yet again... i think that is because i have a deeper love for them then most people know or think....

So last Friday when i came in... Laurie warned me not to go into the back... (actually she was kind of jumping up and down freaking out cause she knew i would love love love them!).... Of course i had to just HAVE some of them.... i was a good girl and only got 5 packages! hahahahahahahahaa!!!!!

I was so excited about them that while i was visiting my parents this weekend... i created this layout using them...

This i probably my new favorite font because they are puffy-plasticy.... I LOVE THEM!

OK... so when you're in next... take a peek at the whole new section of the thickers and American crafts stuff behind the check out counter!

LOVING THIS TOOL!

So you're probably thinking... is she crazy... didn't she use that layout last week to talk about embellishments... and you're right I DID! I'm not losing my mind even though school is only 2.5 weeks away...

I wanted to show you that this tool from Heidi Swapp makes the coolest layouts! You can use it a little or a lot... and you get the funnest look from it... as Johanna says... "It looks like fabric"....

That is a perfect way to put it. It makes it look like fabric and gives it the fun texture that some boring layouts just need! While I'm enjoying my last couple weeks of "freedom"... I'm going to use this thing anyway I can.... I've got to get some serious layouts done before school starts again...

EMBELLLISHMENTS!

Although I'm not a huge matchy-matchy person when it comes to using scrapbook lines from manufacturers... i have to admit that sometimes it's just what you need to make a layout feel totally done.

I used the Sassafras Lass line here and the sticker set that comes with them are totally perfect and completed my layout. Not only did I use one of the stickers for the journaling block but i clustered the 3 in the bottom for the finishing touch.

This week... take a peek at embellishments when you're in the store next. There are a ton everywhere (my favorites are bling, chipboard shapes, and random things.).... We all have enough paper... now it's time to find some embellies and scrapbook away...

I'm off to scrapbook now... I only have a couple weeks of vacation left before school starts....

Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy.....

ok... this new product from Cosmo Cricket makes me want to go camping just so i can use it... Which is funny, because i don't camp. Like i really don't camp... camping for me is the Holiday Inn Express... so you can see that my desire for this stinken cute product is so great it would take me camping....

I had the chance to look at this fun stuff this weekend and was drooling over it. I did pick up the journaling blocks.... although the whole line is about camping... the journaling blocks are going to be great on my layouts.... they are 2-sided and are pretty neutral for all layouts!

I hope you get the chance to get into the store and purchase some of it before it's all snatched up!
