My heart went pitter patter when I saw "Love Bandit" by Bo Bunny Press. All the little animals are so adorable! This is such a fun project to do. The accordion pocket book is from Pine Cone Press and is quite easy to put together. I had so much fun designing this one! Hope you can come to the class on February 3rd!

Even if you haven't started collecting our monthly magnetic magnet kits yet, you're going to fall in love with what we came up with for February. Isn't it sweet? The kit includes supplies to create embellishments for 31 magnets, including color photos. Just add magnets and the magnetic board. Each month we'll have a cute kit for the following month. But when they're gone, they're gone!

You may remember the "joy" and "peace" letters we had at Christmas, all glittered up. Now that Valentine's is here we thought we needed some hugs and kisses. Paint, cover, or glitter these 12" XO letters for cute February decor. They're only $4.99 for the set!
I've been having way too much fun with all the pink, red, and white felt in the store right now. This sweet heart garland was cut using three different heart dies in our die cut center, then embellished and hand-stitched together.
I added a Making Memories sticker with it's own stitching to compliment the center heart and stuck a button on with Glue Dots. This was really easier than you'd imagine! Come in and check out all the fun ideas we have for this yummy wool-blend felt.
Jennifer is seeing so many great things at CHA--I'm so jealous! Check out this new line from Little Yellow Bicycle called Freshprint Clothesline. It's got a vintage feel with soft, faded colors, spring accents, and sewing notions. Can't wait to see it in person!

We've been thinking about more ways we can help the earthquake victims in Haiti, and this week Jennifer told me about a great way to donate your loose change. Did you know Coinstar will take your change and donate it straight to one of the charities of your choice? If you choose The Red Cross, a major contributor to the relief efforts in Haiti.
Recently my husband and I started a Wii fund with our boys (I stole the idea from Janna and her husband). That way we could put off getting one a little longer, and also teach our kids about saving up for things we want to buy. My kids are so excited, and ask almost every day how much more we need for our Wii. That's why I was a little surprised at my 6-year-old's response when I asked him how he would feel about giving some of the money we'd saved for the Wii to the people who were suffering in Haiti.
He said, "Mom, when you said that it just made me feel SO happy inside! Can we go do it right now?" Wow, two great life's lessons with one experiment--can't beat that! So we took a portion of our change to the Coinstar at our local Albertson's and dumped the change in. Sure enough, we were given a list of charities to choose from, including The Red Cross. Plus it was fun!

Here's another fun thing Jennifer and Lee are seeing at the CHA show this week. We're at the store looking aat all the new stuff they're ordering, and we're so excited to get the new Flutter line from Making Memories. There are so many cute coordinating embellishments. It gives me hope that Spring really is going to come one of these days!
