Another Saturday, another flower demo at Lasting Memories! This week's flower was the "box-top flower", named for the way you layer the pieces the same way you do when closing a cardboard box. It's simple and fun! It's easy to change the size by cutting larger or smaller circles and scalloped circles with punches or a die-cutting machine like the Slice. Or come in and pick up a kit--we still have a few left!
Something about the last few sunny days has made me want to go shopping for spring accessories. A new purse would be nice, but a new Spring-y purse for my Slice would be even nicer! It accomodates the Slice, the tool kit, and the design card storage case. And those bright pink flowers are perfect for Spring!
Are you mystified by our new
Glimmer Mist?It was one of Jennifer's
favorite things from the CHA trade show.Glimmer Mist is a shimmery spray dye that
comes in tons of colors. We've been using it with all kinds of
bare elements around the store--especially ribbons and flowers.
Jennifer recently learned how to turn this pretty but plain seam binding into a crinkled vintage ribbon. We tried scrunching the ribbon with
water and from there it was just a hop, skip and a jump to spraying it
Glimmer Mist.No more bare ribbon! Here's our video tutorial so you can make some for yourself. And don't worry, we have tons of beautiful seam binding and Glimmer Mists in stock!
This week's mini album uses the gorgeous "Lush" line from My Mind's Eye. The papers and embellishments are perfect for family themed-book. You won't believe how pretty it is inside. This would make a great Mother's Day gift!
I don't know what it is about this clear paint cans, but I LOVE them! Maybe it's how cute our staff dressed this one up with lots of American Crafts goodies inside. We have them in two sizes, and they're a fun way to give gifts for Easter, birthdays, thank-yous. . .
This is the fun flower we'll be showing you how to make during our flower demo on Saturday, March 27th. It's called a box-top flower, and we have kits made up with the cutest paper for only $1. So come make a few with me on Saturday between 11:00 and 1:00!
