Mini Book "Everything I Need To Know I Iearned On The Farm"

This weeks book is a funny one (at least I think so).  It's full of little life lessons that you could learn on the farm!  This paper by Doodlebug is so cute I just had to come up with a way to use.  I don't know about you, but I don't have an abundance of farm photos but I'm sure you will all be able to relate to the little pieces of advise inside and find a few photos that would be appropriate!  I used the sticker and punch out sheet from the same line along with one of the new Doodlebug albums. 

Sadly this is my last mini book class.  I've been teaching this class every Wednesday night for the past six years!  That my friends, is a lot of mini books!!  I've enjoyed getting to know so many of you and will truly miss seeing all of you!

This week will be a little different.  Instead of signing up, come to the store on Wednesday, April 28, at 6:00 p.m. and the first 13 people can purchase the remaining kits for this class.

I'll bring treats and we'll make a party of it!!! See you then!

Mini Book "Spring Comes Softly"

This weeks book is an interactive album by Pine Cone Press.  Inside the book are pop up pages, pockets and pages that flip out.  It is oh so fun!  The paper and embellishments are from the Kioshi line by Basic Grey.  I love Basic Grey's chipboard stickers because there are a lot of them...four pages worth in each package!

This book is just in time for all those photos you took at Easter and visiting the Tulips!  If you're thinking ahead,  I do believe this book would make a great Mother's Day gift.

We know many of you were gone or busy this week because of spring break, so we've decided to extend this week's mini album class until Wednesday the 14th. So if you missed it, don't fret! "Home is Where My Heart Is" Mini Book

You can never have too many books documenting your own home and family. This week's book uses the darling "My House" line from American Crafts and the new mini book die cuts from our die cut center.  Little bits of ribbon, felt, and stitching made this book feel "home"made!

Mini Album "Our Family"

This week's mini album uses the gorgeous "Lush" line from My Mind's Eye. The papers and embellishments are perfect for family themed-book. You won't believe how pretty it is inside. This would make a great Mother's Day gift!

Mini Book "You Are My Favorite Thing"

 

This book goes on my list as one my favorites!  My Minds Eye did it again with this line.  The papers are soft and sweet and so is the sentiment on the front cover.  The book itself is cut in our die cut center along with the paper to cover them.  The pages inside are filled with the die cuts from My Minds Eye.

On one of the pages there's a flower that resembles all the fabric flowers we're seeing on clothes and accessories right now.  This one is made from paper and I'll show you how to make it in class!

Mini Book "Lucky Me"

This week is another book using Little Yellow Bicycle's Decorative Edged Tablet.  Don't you love how quick and easy these are?  This tablet is called "Lucky Me" and of course has the matching chipboard book.

I made some fun flowers in this book that I think you'll like making.  It was a little difficult to write the directions but I guarantee they are very easy to make, especially if you see them done in class!

Mini Book "Little Man"

My Minds Eye has done such a wonderful job creating collections and the new lines are no exception to that!  I love the thick double sided papers and coordinating punch outs.  My favorite thing has to be the cardstock sticker tickets!  They are so cute and I love the convenience of them being self adhesive.

I used the Little Boy Blue collection for this book.  The base is chipboard (how would we survive in this world without chipboard?) embellished with paper, punch outs, stickers and ribbon.  I bound the book with office rings or you could use the Bind It All.

Mini Book "See The World"

 I think Imaginisce Scooter's Vacation Collection is about the cutest thing I've seen in a long time!  I fell in love with this cute little dog and the red scooter the second I saw them!

I made this little album with the large die cut tag from our die cut center along with some envelopes and stamped journaling cards inside.  The chipboard and puffy stickers are just adorable.  I especially like the camera stamp from this line.  I'm sure everyone can use that one over and over.....

I designed this with a definite travel theme but don't feel limited to just that.  There are lots of journeys we take in life not just vacations!

Mini Book "Celebrate"

I really like the idea of having a perpetual calender for Birthdays and Anniversaries.  I didn't want a calender that I had to hang somewhere or one that took up too much room.  The Pine Cone Press Library Pocket book is the perfect size.  I can put it right inside the top drawer of our desk in our kitchen or set on top of the desk for that matter.  There's a pocket for each month with a library card to write all the important dates on.  I think it's pretty much perfect!

I really didn't do embellishments on the book.  The bright paper makes a big enough statement.  This is a quick project that you will be able to use for years to come!
