I keep telling everyone about how much fun I have been having making banners. Let me show you a couple more photos of some of my recent banners.
I made a Barnhart family banner for a family reunion early in August.
Here are all of my family's flags along with mine. I think mine is the cutest!
Here is another banner I made with the scraps from my first banner.
Notice all the stash that I am using. Buttons, glitter, ribbon, chipboard. Banners are great to use up all your leftovers. I even used my Slice to make all kinds of flowers and other embellishments.
If you love banners, you might want to be part of our very first banner swap. We need thirteen people who want to create a "Happy Halloween" banner to participate. It's easy, you just make 14 identical banner pieces of an assigned letter and swap with 13 other people who have made their own pieces of the banner. We've had several people sign up but we still have a few slots.
We are also sponsoring a banner contest. Entries are due September 19th and must be made from supplies purchased at Lasting Memores. The winner will get a $25 gift certificate to Lasting Memories, so use up your stash and create a masterpiece. I can't wait to see what you will do with your banners. Remember - This is supposed to be FUN! Here is some banner inspiration to get you started. . .
